PerfectMind is a software platform for managing yoga and pilates studios. Are they worth using? And what alternatives do you have?
These days most people aren’t using paper-based systems anymore. These are just redundant and so the chase is on for gyms and yoga studios to find a better solution online.
There are ordinary software providers out there that still do an excellent job. And for many yoga studios specifically, that’s all you need. But what if you run an entire fitness centre?
That’s where PerfectMind might have you covered very well. In this review of PerfectMind, we’re very much unbiased and have no commercial business relationship.
Essentially, we noticed some complaints and wanted to see where they might be falling short.
One of the best things about their system is that it’s cloud-based. You can use it across a range of devices without installing any fancy software or having operating system issues.
Those who are enrolling new members can access the platform while also having restricted usage into some areas such as accounting and financial metrics.
You can also manage your calendar and bookings quite easily for your trainers, teachers and clients. In addition, you can send out automated messages for updates to your entire client database.
PerfectMind for yoga studios
Admittedly – yoga studios will do better with other yoga platforms in the market. PerfectMind is better adapted for larger commercial gyms, scout groups and fitness centres.
One of the main challenges is the complexity of this program. That complexity works well with just about other health and wellness field but yoga studios don’t require much. All that’s needed is essentially:
- Class timetables
- Number of allocated spots
- Pre-bookings by members
- Student casual pass counts and current billing status
- Reports and trends over time to show class viability
For remarkably less monthly capital outlay, there are some good alternatives to PerfectMind. This includes MindBodyOnline and WellnessLiving just to name a few.
One of the greatest things about PerfectMind is that they aren’t just a software platform. They also offer additional services to help you better market your fitness and wellness centre.
You can hire them for lead generation and marketing campaigns which plug straight into the software. In most instances, we recommend this approach as they deal with businesses like yours every day.
One of the biggest complaints about PerfectMind is the price and to be fair in this review, we do believe it’s rather high. At this time of writing, it’s $125/month and you’re restricted to 50 members only.
Most yoga studios have more than 50 members when you include casual drop-in classes. For fitness centres, the numbers are well beyond this.
Now – one thing to note is their massive amount of features. This includes inventory management, accounting, email marketing, payroll, marketing automation and landing pages. This is all in addition to membership management. With other platforms, you’re really just getting membership management for a discounted rate.
We would recommend PerfectMind if you’re a larger recreation centre that needs complete top-down views into all aspects of growing your business. This isn’t an instant plug-and-play platform unlike the smaller alternative packages in the market and it takes on average 3 weeks to get fully onboarded.
At this time of writing, they now have more than 5,000 members on board with a massively helpful team with customers across 20+ countries after being in this space for more than 2 decades.
For the business owner with a team of staff then the powerful features of this platform make perfect sense, and yes, it’s worth it. For the corner yoga studio with a small following and has no ambition to grow, there are certainly cheaper alternatives out there.
